It’s been a bit of a wait, but the SON hub dynamos are now finally available for narrow-hubbed bikes like the Brompton. The SON XS is still a SON, with the same incredible quality and reliability, but it’s only 74mm wide - it’s also noticeably lighter ;-)

We can supply the bare hub, or built up into a rim ready to swap over. The spokes are standard Brompton ones - built 2-cross instead of radial - so any good bike shop could build the wheel.

Don’t forget, you’ll need a switched front light if you don’t want to have your lights on all the time ;-) The SON E6S is very good, as is the B&M Lumotec+ Switched.
